I am Reginald Fan, born in 2005 in Shangqiu, Henan, China.
I am the Founder of 【QICHEN 七辰】, Founder, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of QICHEN Robotics Technology (Jinhua) Co., Ltd., and Head of the AMI Technical Team.
Before founding a robotics technology company, I gained practical experience through work and social practice. I later became involved in domestic and cross-border e-commerce, working across products, operations, user needs, supply chains, costs and commercial execution.
I began my entrepreneurial journey in 2024. In 2026, I founded QICHEN Robotics Technology (Jinhua) Co., Ltd. and began building 【QICHEN 七辰】 around artificial intelligence, intelligent robotics and human-robot interaction.
Today, my primary focus is 艾米 Ami. I am exploring how AI can move beyond software interfaces toward continuous identity, natural voice interaction, long-term memory, relationship awareness and physical embodiment.

I later worked across domestic and cross-border e-commerce.
Those experiences showed me that once a product enters the market, the product itself is only part of the challenge. User demand, pricing, cost, supply chains, operations, delivery and cash flow all shape whether it can continue to exist.
2024 · Beginning my entrepreneurial journey
I began pursuing entrepreneurship in 2024. I quickly learned that many decisions come without a ready-made answer. A direction has to be judged, real problems have to be solved and wrong decisions have to be corrected.
See the problem clearly, break it down, and validate with real outcomes rather than imagination alone.
2026 · Founding QICHEN Robotics
In 2026, I founded QICHEN Robotics Technology (Jinhua) Co., Ltd. and began the long-term development of 【QICHEN 七辰】 and 艾米 Ami.
Long-term direction: Artificial Intelligence × Robotics × Human-Robot Interaction.
Why I Founded 【QICHEN 七辰】
WHY QICHEN
Artificial intelligence will not remain inside a chat window forever.
I did not found 【QICHEN 七辰】 simply because artificial intelligence is advancing quickly.
As voice AI, long-term memory, multimodality, edge computing, robotics and human-robot interaction develop, our relationship with AI may shift from using a tool to interacting with an intelligent presence that continues over time.
I want 【QICHEN 七辰】 to explore that transition for the long term. The goal is not to chase a short-lived technology trend, but to study how AI can understand people, remember them, communicate naturally and eventually enter the physical world.

艾米 Ami began with a question I kept returning to.
I want 艾米 Ami to explore a more continuous kind of AI experience.

Companionship, Not Replacement
COMPANIONSHIP, NOT REPLACEMENT
Companionship does not mean replacement.
Companionship is one of the central directions of 艾米 Ami.
No matter how naturally AI may communicate or how well it may understand someone, it should not be designed to weaken real human relationships. Relationships with family, friends and partners grow from shared experiences, choices, responsibility and growth.
I want 艾米 Ami to complement real life by adding understanding, companionship and new forms of interaction, not by competing with human relationships.
Building Through Challenges
BUILDING THROUGH CHALLENGES
Once I began developing 艾米 Ami, the challenges became more complex than I first expected.
Early voice development repeatedly faced missing replies, latency, fragmented recognition, TTS stalls and failures after continuous use. Software, servers and hardware also required repeated integration work.
As the product direction became clearer, we deliberately stopped routes that no longer supported long-term progress. We kept the technology that remained useful and redirected limited resources toward a more focused path.
- Do not rebuild what can be reused.
- Do not invest heavily before something can be validated.
- Correct a route when it no longer makes sense.
- Do not present an unverified capability as complete.
Problems can happen and directions can change, but each step should be grounded in real results whenever possible.

How I Work

When I face a problem I do not yet understand, I prefer to move through this process.
I do not believe a founder must personally be the leading specialist in every field.

Principles I Hold
PRINCIPLES
- The difficult part is not proposing an idea. It is continuing until the idea becomes real.
- When a direction is no longer right, correcting it matters more than persisting with the mistake.
- When resources are limited, choice matters more than accumulation.
- A capability that has not been truly completed should not be presented as complete.
- Companionship does not mean replacement.
